Japan is very family friendly: is generally trouble free and clean, with a reliable transport network for smooth transfers. Most stations are barrier free so they’re easy to navigate even with strollers. If you’re travelling with many bags you can also take advantage of their very efficient delivery service in between hotels. Convenience stores are open 24hours a days and they stock food, toiletries and many more useful items. Clean restrooms with changing facilities will be readily available in department stores, most restaurants and in chains like McDonalds.
Japan is also good value when travelling as a family: for example there are numerous family restaurants that welcome kids and offer tasty meals from 5-10 pounds per person.

Stay at one of Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels; for related benefits please click here Stay at Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel Day 2   Enjoy Disneyland with your 2-Day Passport. This is the world's third most popular theme park and the perfect place to meet your favourite Disney characters. Check the schedule and if you're still in the park as the night falls you could see the magical evening Parade or a firework display. Stay at Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel Day 3 Enjoy Disneyland with your 2-Day Passport Transfer to your hotel in Tokyo by taxi (not included) Stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Day 4 Join a public morning tour of Tokyo. You will be collected from nearby your hotel at 07:50. You'll be driven around the city and you will visit Tokyo Tower, Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace Gardens. Afternoon free at leisure; contact us if you wish to purchase tickets to the Ghibli Museum by Hayao Miyazaki, one of the masters of Japanese animation. Stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Day 5 Join a full day tour of Nikko. You will be collected from nearby your hotel at 08:10. Take a Nikko & Ninja tour visiting Nikko Edo-village and World Heritage, Nikko Toshogu Shrine with its ornate animal carvings. Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch at local restaurant. Stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Day 6 Take a train from Shinagawa station to Kyoto using your rail pass. Your hotel is a short walk from the station. Free time at leisure. In the evening you could head to Gion Corner for a traditional performing arts show - colourful Maiko dances, puppet theatre and more. Morning sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace. After lunch, travel to Nara, visiting Todaiji Temple housing the great Buddha, Nara Park where many tame deer roam free, colourful Kasuga Shrine, with 3,000 lanterns and then returning to Kyoto. Stay at Kyoto Tower Hotel Day 8 Take a train to Osaka using your rail pass. Your hotel is next to the station. Free time at leisure. Visit the colourful Dotonbori area and snack on the local specialities: takoyaki and okonomiyaki! Stay at Granvia Hotel Osaka Day 9 Free time in Osaka - you might want to take your children to Osaka Kaiyukan, one of the world's largest aquariums.
