TokyoThis is the perfect itinerary for travellers who wish to explore Japan at leisure with all transfers taken care of, and the assistance of English speaking guides and drivers.

We have included a couple of days with free time for you if you wish to relax or explore at your own pace; but we offer you the possibility of taking extra tours or cultural activities over those days if you wish to make the most of your time in Japan.

The length of the tour is flexible too: for example you can add a couple of days to explore further south to Hiroshima and Miyajima or other locations - with or without assistance, as you prefer.

We also offer a list of recommended restaurants if you'd like some assistance to book the dinners not included in the package.

Nara The prices quoted are for packages inclusive of international flights (standard seats in Economy Class, non-direct flights, out of London to Tokyo,
then back from Osaka to London). Departures are available from London or from several regional airports as well. Contact us if you prefer direct
flights, if wish to upgrade or are considering the possibility of stopovers on your way to Japan - for example in Korea.

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, your English speaking driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals area. Please note that you may need to wait for a short time while other passengers are collected.
Proceed to Citadines Hotel Shinjuku by public shared taxi.

Stay at Citadines Hotel.

Day 2: March 31st / July 3rd / Oct 23rd      (B) (L)

You will be collected from the Hotel at 09:00 and take part in a full day tour of Tokyo by chartered bus and English speaking guide.
During the tour, you will visit Meiji Jingu, Tokyo Tower, National Diet building, Imperial Palace, Lunch, Asakusa, Tokyo Sky tree area (entrance not included), Cherry blossom viewing (March departure) and Akihabara.

Day 3: April 1st / July 4th / Oct 24th       (B)

This is a free day.

Suggested optional:
Kamakura, Yokohama & Tokyo Bay Bus Tour £93 per person (full day)
Cruise along the beloved ancient cities of Kamakura and Yokohama to visit the famous Great Buddha, 1200 year-old Hasedera Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, one of Japan's largest Chinatown, Sankeien Japanese Garden, Yokohama Bay Bridge and Tokyo Bay.

Day 4: April 2nd / July 5th / Oct 25th        (B) (L) (D)

You will be collected from your hotel at 09:00 and take part in a full day tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone by chartered bus and English speaking guide. During the tour, you will visit Fuji Sky line 5th station, Lunch, Hakone Sky Gondola, Owakudani boiling valley and a cruise on Lake Ashi. You will be dropped off at your Ryokan in the early evening in time for dinner.

Stay at a Standard Grade Hakone Ryokan

Day 5: April 3rd / July 6th / Oct 26th      (B)

You will be picked up from the Ryokan at 10:00 and transferred to Odawara by chartered bus and English speaking guide. Once aboard the bullet train bound for Kyoto, your guide will bid farewell. Upon arrival at Kyoto station, you will meet your Kyoto based assistant and transfer on foot to your Kyoto Hotel. The transfer on foot takes roughly 5 minutes.

Day 6: April 4th / July 7th / Oct 27th       (B) (L)

You will be collected from your hotel at 09:00 and take part in a full day tour of Kyoto by chartered bus and English speaking guide. During the tour, you will visit Sanjusangendo, Kiyomizu, Kinkakuji, Lunch, Nijo Castle.

Day 7: April 5th / July 8th / Oct 28th      (B)

This is a free day.

Suggested optionals:
Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine & Sake Tasting Tour £67 per person (half day) Visit the Sake Museum in Fushimi and taste some samples of Japan's finest sake, then stroll through peaceful hills lined with thousands of red torii gates.

Sagano Bamboo Grove and Arashiyama Walking Tour £103 per person (half day)

With Mt. Arashiyama as the backdrop, take a morning walk through the Sagano Bamboo Grove, visiting Zen temples along the way, marvel at Togetsu Bridge, Saga-Arashiyama’s landmark, and visit the many shops and cafes in the area.

You will be collected from your hotel at 09:00 and take part in a half day tour of Nara by chartered bus and English speaking guide.
During the tour, you will visit Nara Park, Todaiji Temple, Cherry blossom viewing (March departure) and Kofukuji Temple

Stay at Kyoto Dai Ni Tower Hotel

Day 9: April 7th / July 10th / Oct 30th      (B)

You will be collected from your hotel at the designated time by a public shared taxi service.

Upon arrival at Kansai airport, the tour terminates.

You might want to extend your stay for a couple more days to visit the World Heritage sites of Hiroshima and Miyajima.

Hiroshima and Miyajima Escorted Tour £600 per person (2 night 2 days)
TokyoYour tour will include bullet train transfers, a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum, a tour of Miyajima island and Itsukushima shrine with its beautiful gate, "floating" on the sea. Stay on the island overnight at a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan). Includes breakfast, two lunches and a multicourse traditional Japanese dinner served at your inn: you will feast on local specialties, including Hiroshima Okonomiyaki. Return to Kyoto for the last night before your flights back home.

These are collective tours and require a minimum of 15 participants to run. In the unlikely event of a tour not running we will advise you one month prior to departure, and 100% of funds will be returned to you.

Ninjas are famous, not only in Japan but worldwide, as people who carry out undercover espionage operations during war times. Experience and feel the ninja world by wearing a ninja costume and participating in a ninja training session to learn some of their techniques, which will help you learn and gain knowledge about real ninja.

SAMURAI SWORD ACTION from £107 per person
Learn from a group of experts led by Tetsuro Shimaguchi, the head choreographer in the sword fight scene in the snowy garden in "Kill BilL: Volume One". Practice basic sword fighting movement, watching a breathtaking sword fight by your instructors, and take pictures with the instructors wearing Kimono.

Travellers from every corner of the world have come to admire the original attire, makeup, and craft of Japan's Maiko. Here is a chance to dress up just like them!

GHIBLI MUSEUM from £46 per person
Ghibli Museum Afternoon - Hayao Miyazaki's Animation World. Relive the magic of youth with a visit to the popular Ghibli Museum, dedicated to the works of Hayao Miyazaki, Japan's greatest living animated film director.

KYOTO MAIKO DINNER from £81 per person
Enjoy the elegant dances of a Maiko girl and delicious Tempura dinner at Restaurant "Hatoya Zuihoukaku". The program includes Maiko dances for 15-20 minutes, photo-taking time and Q & A.

TAIKO DRUMMING from £99 per personTokyo
The tour starts at the Drum Museum where you can observe and touch a collection of drums which have come from around the world. You will also be able to participate in an intense drumming lesson at the Taiko Center. After the Taiko session you will enjoy a short tour around Asakusa which is a very popular tourist spot.

Tsukiji fish market is the biggest fish market in Japan and is one of the most popular tourist spots. In this program, you will first enjoy visiting the market, then you will go to a Japanese house to make sushi that is easy to make at home. You will be able to see what a typical Japanese life style is like.

A Sushi chef will teach you how to make Nigiri, Gunkan sushi and rolls. Sushi looks very easy to make but the taste heavily depends on the way it is made. You will learn how to make sushi from a chef at a sushi restaurant. At the end you will eat the sushi that you made.

TokyoWEAR KIMONO AROUND ASAKUSA from £115 per person
Walk around Asakusa Temple and Nakamise street wearing a Kimono. A cameraman will follow you, while taking photos for you to take home.

TEA CEREMONY (1.5 hours) from £117 per person
At a traditional Japanese home with a tea room, guests will learn the basic terms, utensils and customs associated with the art of Japanese Tea Ceremony. Then you will enjoy eating classic Japanese sweets and drinking Matcha (powdered green tea) which the instructor skillfully serves. Finally you will try to make tea with the instructor's guidance. TEA CEREMONY IN A TRADITIONAL JAPANESE HOUSE (2.5 hours) from £117 per person
Most tea ceremony classes only focus on the preparation and drinking of the tea; here you will also learn about behavior and correct etiquette of the tea ceremony. The house is made using traditional materials and has many old features including a traditional Japanese garden.
